Yep got print and hoping it will dry and maintain itself now that it has some oil on it but we will see. So I formed the clay, sprayed the foil and baby's foot with Pam and it worked well finally.
Then got the idea to use oil on the foil and foot. Also stuck to the foil that was recommended for it to sit on. Finally got it to form into a shape thereafter but when I put baby's foot into it it all stuck to his foot and therefore no print. So I left it alone to air dry for awhile before messing with it again. After fighting with the clay for half an hour, I noticed as it started drying it became less sticky. I tried a knife then it stuck to the knife.

When I opened the "clay" I found it was sooo sticky like a taffy and couldn't even figure out how to get it out of the package. I thought this was a great idea as a gift to give an impression of our newborns foot to a great grandma. We now have their prints captured in clay forever. I wish there was an easier way to get footprints, but even though it sucked doing, I'm glad we did it. I then placed a piece of waxed paper lightly over the print and used my finger to smooth out any wrinkles in the clay and then transferred it onto a piece of foil to lay while it dried. Ultimately, what worked for us is preparing the clay on waxed paper, using the wood rolling stick over waxed paper to prevent it from sticking to the clay, pressing the foot firmly but quickly into the clay and quickly pulling it back up in a straight manner. We called the company and they mailed us a replacement clay free of charge. The second was more challenging, and eventually the clay hardened to a point where it was no longer usable and we still hadn't got the footprint. The first went smoothly and we nailed it after the 3rd try. It's so hard to get a newborn/infant's footprint without them curling up their toes and pulling all of the clay with it, but we finally got them on our twins.
